Powering Big Bear When It Matters Most

Big Bear is at a crossroads. Currently, 90% of our major power outages are caused by events outside of local control. â€‹Solar energy is the solution to keeping the lights on.  Join the movement to help Big Bear become energy independent.

Local Energy, Local Strength

Now is the time to bring local energy to Big Bear.

Community Safety & Resilience

Reliable local energy helps keep Big Bear running when it matters most.

  • Reliability for homeowners and businesses

  • Keeps water pumps operating

  • Supports health services and medical needs

  • Ensures our community stays safe and connected

Clean Energy for the Future

Local solar generation moves Big Bear toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.

  • Supports California’s 60% renewable energy goal by 2030

  • Produces clean power right here at home

  • Strengthens long-term energy independence

Responsible Design

Designed to fit naturally into Big Bear's landscape.

  • Reflects community input and priorities

  • Respects the character of our mountain environment

Maintaining Essential Services

Right now, more than 1,000 Big Bear residents are identified as Access and Functional Needs (AFN) customers, meaning they rely on consistent, reliable power to support their health, safety, and daily living needs. The Big Bear Resilience Project ensures that local hospitals and emergency services stay fully operational while also keeping critical at-home medical equipment functioning.
